I am so relieved!

On June 30, 2014

Teresa, a single mom whose own life was falling apart, struggled to keep life as normal as possible for her two small children.  Things began to improve, however, when the welfare office gave her an emergency grant, making it possible for her to move into a small apartment.  Even though she has since found a job, making ends meet remains a huge challenge.  Her social worker suggested that she visit St. Francis House to find clothing and household items.

“I am so relieved to find St. Francis House,“ Teresa remarked upon a recent visit.  “It has helped me keep my children dressed warmly and myself looking professional at work.  My towels and bedding and most of my furniture are from St. Francis House.  People there are kind and I don’t feel embarrassed to ask for something.  I always feel a little less stressed by the time I leave there!”
